Funding

Arizona ranks 48th in the nation in per pupil spending. Knowing the importance of a quality public education system for a robust workforce and economy, Friends of ASBA aims to: 

• Fund school districts to at least the national median in per pupil spending. 
• Establish a stable, dedicated revenue source for education that is less reliant on the general fund or annual legislative appropriation.  
• Provide adequate funding for facilities. 
• Revise the school finance formula to better address the unique financial needs of special education students, schools serving students in poverty, and rural schools
